Heart Accent Braided Style

Hi friends,

I love how accent braids dress up any style, like this simple French braid.  All throughout the day, people stopped to ask me about my hair and how I fixed it.  How very kind of them.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  I wish you a lovely new week.

Princess Lace Braids

Hi friends,

Today I fixed my hair in a favorite style, Princess Lace Braids.  Last night before washing my hair, I mixed up a scoop of mayonnaise, a splash of milk and a squirt of honey and made a hair mask.  I put this conditioning mask all over my hair, concentrating on the length, piled my hair on top of my head and covered it in a plastic bag.  I let that sit for an hour or so, then washed my hair.  I love how shiny and soft my hair looks after using this DIY mask!

Thank you so much for coming to see my blog, I hope you see you again soon.

Blue Dutch Braids Updo

Hello dear friends,

I hope your new week is off to a great start!  Today I wore my new blue dress, this is absolutely my favorite color.  I braided my hair into three sideways Dutch braids then put the length of my hair in a rope braid, which I wrapped up about three times into a loose side bun.  I love this style, it goes perfectly with my new earrings and dress.  Thank you for coming to see!  Look at the lovely picture a friend sent me.  Looks like they know my favorite color, too :-)

Afternoon Teatime Braided Hairstyle

Hi friends,

My sister and I were invited to a mother/daughter tea, and I wore my new tea-length dress with a fancy braided hairstyle.  I made about 7 or 8 braids, looped them up, then wrapped the ends of my braids into a high bun on top of my head.  I love this look, and it looked neat and tidy all day long.  Thank you for visiting my blog!  I wish you a lovely new week.

4-strand lace headband

Hi friends,

Today I made a 4 strand lace headband braid and a side bun, but this particular version of a 4-strand braid is different from the ones I usually make.  Normally I take 4 strands, then cross the left outmost strand over, under, over.  But in this version, you cross the outmost left strand over, under, then the right outmost strand crosses under, over.  That's why there is a single strand of hair running down the center of the braid, which never actually has any hair added to it.  I always wondered how this type of 4-strand braid was made, and finally last night I learned how to create this braid by watching a video from Sweethearts Hair Design on YouTube.  I'm looking forward to trying a ribbon version soon.
