Greek Key Braids

Hello friends,

     Today I wore my new Greek-island print shirt, and I wanted to fix my hair in a style to match.  So I put my hair into a ponytail and braided it in two Greek key braids.  Then I looped my braids up to a length that I liked, and pinned them in place with bobby pins and a few small clips.
     A Greek key braid is a regular 3-strand English braid, but one of the strands is extremely tiny.  That simple technique is what gives this braid such a unique look.

French Roses Braided Updo

Hello friends,

     The peach lilies are blooming so beautifully, I never get tired of looking at them.  They seemed like the perfect background for my French Rose hairstyle.
     To make this updo I French braided my hair but left out three separate strands.  When I finished making my French braid I braided the three strands.  Then I wrapped each of these smaller braids into a rose and pinned them in place with bobby pins on top of my French braid.  I added a diamond spin-pin to the middle of each flower for effect.

Short Braided Ponytail

Hi everybody,

I hope you are having a lovely week and staying safe wherever you are.  Today I fixed my hair in a waterfall braid, then put my hair into a ponytail.  I braided my ponytail and wrapped my braid up into a short ponytail.  A short ponytail is a nice change from my usual bun hairstyles.  Thank you for coming to see my pictures!

  

60's inspired hair'do

Hi everyone,

     Today to match my retro-style dress, I fixed my hair in a 60's inspired hairstyle.  I used a smooth section of hair as a headband, then added a low bun with a Nancy Drew hair-flip.

Dynamic Updo

Hi friends,

     Today I tried an interesting new braid pattern with three small accent braids stretching across to be braided into a French braid on the opposite side. I love the fresh new feel this look has, plus the fact that it was super-easy to create.

Princess braid & ocean view

Hi everyone,

     I remember when I first read about this hairstyle in a paperback book on hair-braiding. The book called this look a princess braid~ two lace braids combined in a single English braid. I like this hairstyle because it is easy to make but still looks nice.
