Micronesian Girl~ Spiral Rope Braided Updo

Such a pretty updo from one of my Micronesian friends!  Similar to the hairstyle that Lilith Moon uploaded on her Youtube channel, certainly one of the most popular hairstyles on the internet :-)

 

Braided Updo w/ Side French Braids

I hope you are having beautiful weather where you live~ the flowers are all blooming here, if you can see them in the background :-)

Today I made two French braids on the sides of my hair, then put the hair in the middle section into a high ponytail.  I made my ponytail into a rope-braid bun, and wrapped the two French braids around the base of the bun.  Everything is held in place with bobby pins and hair clips.

My hairstyle for today took a lot of bobby pins and tiny hair clips (hidden underneath all my hair), but it has lasted all day long without being too uncomfortable :-)  I wanted a hairstyle as fun as my new dress~

A similar version of this hairstyle would be Lilith Moon's Twisted Updo, one of her earlier videos.
