Yesterday I tried the popular zig-zag fishtail French braid that circles the internet regularly, but did not really like how it turned out because it was too loose. I didn't bother to take pictures, and wouldn't you know, the ladies who saw my hairstyle later that day loved it! So I tried again today, and even though I could not achieve the original zig-zag look, I kind of like the way this hairstyle turned out. I guess you could call it my Boho fishtail braid hairstyle :-)
(Thanks to an extra helping pair of hands to keep out tangles while I was braiding, my hair stayed tangle-free the entire time, which almost never happens when making a fishtail braid!)

Wow, that is so beautiful! One of my favourites that you have done!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I really like the loose-and-falling look it has, plus fishtail buns are some of my favorites, too.
DeleteBeautiful, i love your hair and hairstyles:)
ReplyDeleteAww, thank you! How sweet :-)
DeleteI wish my hair will stay tangle free *sigh*. It much shorter than yours, but still I need to gently separate it while french\dutch braiding. It not like huge knots or something, but you can't really run your fingers fast and freely through the hair...
ReplyDeleteThe hairstyle amazing, as usual. Fish tail braids look so intricate.
Spray-in conditioner helps~ I like to use Johnson & Johnson's No More Tears detangling spray when I comb my hair out after taking a shower. Plus I use tons of conditioner when I wash my hair with the C-W-C method. Usually I buy a small bottle of shampoo and a huge bottle of conditioner (and still may run out of C before S! :-) Thank you so much for the kind comments on this hairstyle!
