Double Braids

Hello friends,

I hope you have a fun week-end!  Yesterday I fixed my hair in this fun, every-day hairstyle - 2 French braids divided by a zig-zag part.  This hair-do makes such nice braid waves, which is always a bonus!

Teardrop Part

Yesterday I tried parting my hair in a new way that I learned from my book, called a Teardrop.  First you section off hair for a hairband braid.  Then you Dutch lace braid the hair directly behind your hairband section, from behind one ear all the way across to your other ear.  When that braid is finished, you braid the hairband section in the opposite direction.  I had accidentally left out a tiny section of hair, so I turned it into an accent piece.

Another Princess Leia hairstyle to share with you~ from one of my little Micronesian Girls :-)  Such a cute hairstyle!  It's a spiral braid with the tail hanging down the back, like another one of Princess Leia's famous braided updo's.

In honor of this week's May the Fourth Be With You, I've been saving pictures of my recent double buns hairstyle with a zig-zag center part.  This is one of my favorite looks, very casual and especially nice when you have just washed your hair :-)
