Braids and....a surprise!

Hello dear friends,

It has been much too long since I posted on my blog, but I have a very good reason for being preoccupied.  Two reasons, actually~ I'm a happy newlywed (married 5 months now!), and another reason that I am having trouble keeping a secret...see if you can spot what it might be in the pictures below.

My hairstyle today is a simple princess updo made with two lace braids and a braided bun.  I love this look, it dresses up any day and any occasion.

Light Blue Rope Braid Updo

Hi everyone,

A few Sundays ago, I wore another favorite blue dress and fixed my hair in a simple style to match.  This is one of the first updo's I learned to do, two rope lace braids and a low braided bun.  Thank you for visiting my blog!  I'm looking forward to seeing how I'll feel like fixing my hair tomorrow :-)

Princess Lace Braids

Hi friends,

Today I fixed my hair in a favorite style, Princess Lace Braids.  Last night before washing my hair, I mixed up a scoop of mayonnaise, a splash of milk and a squirt of honey and made a hair mask.  I put this conditioning mask all over my hair, concentrating on the length, piled my hair on top of my head and covered it in a plastic bag.  I let that sit for an hour or so, then washed my hair.  I love how shiny and soft my hair looks after using this DIY mask!

Thank you so much for coming to see my blog, I hope you see you again soon.

Simple can be fun and pretty

Hi everyone,

Today was a casual Monday, so I fixed my hair with a poofy front section.  Then I made four simple accent braids, two were rope braids and the other two were regular 3-strand braids.  I brought these braids and my loose hair together in a 4-strand braid.  Then I folded my long braid up once and clipped the end in place.  I left my hair hanging down my back rather than over my shoulder like I've been doing lately.  This look lasted all day (and most of the night :-)

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you have a lovely, peace-filled day.

Bird of Paradise~ A braided hairstyle to match my dress and heels

Hi friends,

I wore my new bird of paradise heels today which I absolutely love, and fixed my hair in a braided style to match.  I made three Dutch braids then braided the ends together in a single braid, wrapped my braid up twice and clipped it all in place.  This made my hair appear to be waist length, perfect for today.  Thank you for coming to see my post!

Princess Braid

Hi everyone,

I love princess hairstyles, like this one made with three Dutch braids loosely braided together at the bottom and clipped in place.  Something about wearing your hair this way makes you feel like a real princess <3

Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I love to share hairstyles with my friends here.  Be sure to follow my posts on Facebook and Instagram as well.
