Loose French Braid Updo

Hello friends,

Some colorful pictures to share with you today~ the purple flowers in my backyard are blooming so beautifully, they make a perfect background.  Today I put my middle section of hair into a loose French braid, then pulled all my hair into a mid-ponytail and made a layered bun.  The over-all stripe effect of the French braid and the bun matched the stripes on my new hot pink shirt (my favorite color :-)

 

 

Upside-Down Lace Braid Topknot

Hi everybody,

Today for the first time I tried my hand at an upside-down braid. I wasn't up to an upside-down French braid, but I did manage this lace braid/topknot combo.  I really like how it turned out, especially with my hair fork :-)

Big Cinnamon Bun

Hi everybody,

I hope you are having a great 2014 so far!  Today I wanted to wear my new jewel hairband, so I combined it with a big cinnamon bun.  To hide the sides of my hairband a little bit, I made two small side braids.

The wind was really blowing today~ as you may be able to tell from my side bangs lol

Square Updo~ my look for today

At first I wasn't going to take hair pictures, but after so many people told me how much they loved the way I fixed my hair I thought I'd better upload pictures after all!  My look for today was a sideways 4-strand French braid.  I looped the long braid into a flattened-out square bun and held everything in place with two hairclips and bobby pins.  This look has lasted all day long!

 

 

 

January 1, 2014 ~ Happy New Year Hairstyle

Happy New Year, everybody!

I hope your 2014 is off to a great start!  Today was a beautiful sunny, windy day.  I washed my hair last night~ starting the new year off clean and shining :-)  My hairstyle was a simple low bun with a Nancy Drew flip, and a couple of small side braids as accents.
