Pastel Elsa Updo

Hi friends,

I hope your year is going wonderfully so far.  Today I used my new pastel hair ties to make a side pull-through Elsa-style updo.  I love how this way to make a pull-through braid looks loose and soft, I learned the technique from a video by Sweethearts Hair Design on YouTube.  After making my pull-through braid, I brought my braid over into a side rope braid bun, and added pastel flowers to match my dress.  How fun to take hair pictures in front of even more pink flowers, real ones in my yard!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I can't wait to see you again.

Colorful Elsa Braid

Hi everyone,

Recently I discovered some wonderful hairstyle videos on YouTube by SweetHearts Hair.  Today I tried out one of my favorites, a pull-through version of Elsa's braid.  I love how this braid turned out, and my worries that it might cause my hair to tangle did not come true.  When I took the hair ties out this evening after wearing my hair in this style all day long, my hair was mostly untangled and easy to comb out.  I just added a little rose oil to the ends, gently combed from the bottom to the top, and put my hair in a bun.

I definitely want to try this braid again, especially when I have another chance to wear my Rapunzel dress!  Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you have a lovely day.

Sideways French Braid~ my look for today

Hello everyone,

I had fun experimenting with different borders on my pictures from today~ I fixed my hair in a favorite go-to hairstyle, a sideways French braid. Rather than keeping my braid long, I folded it back up and clipped it in place with tiny hair clips like I show in my Elsa-braid Youtube video. Thank you for looking at my new pictures, I hope you have a wonderful new week!

Redhead Days are almost here!

Hi friends,

The Redhead Days are happening this weekend in Breda, and I can't wait to attend in person :-) What a beautiful day today, walking around Amsterdam and seeing many amazing sights in this lovely old city. Here are pictures of a few things I saw, plus my hairstyle for the day~ an Elsa French braid. At the end of my post I'll share the link to the program magazine for the Redhead event. If you download the pdf file, look at pages 2 and 8 and see if you find a familiar face (or would that be better put, a familiar head of hair :-)

French Braid combo~ and getting ready for Redhead Days!

Hello friends,

Yesterday I got a package in the mail from Holland, with my new beautiful blue t-shirt for the Redhead Days in Breda, just a month away!  I had seen this braid combination on Pinterest and liked it so much I decided to try it myself.  I made a lace rope braid on one side only, then braided the rest of my hair in an Elsa-style French braid.  It's funny how just that added rope braid dresses up this look so.  Thank you for coming to see my post!
On another note, a friend suggested I try olive oil on my hair, so I did that last night before I washed my hair.  I put olive oil on my hair (not on the top nearest my scalp, but on the length and definitely at the ends.)  I left it for about 30 minutes or so, then washed my hair as usual (condition-wash-condition).  The results seem to be very good, my hair is shiny and soft.
