My look for today~ French braided headband


Happy Monday :-)


Today I made a simple French braid headband with a slightly-messy braided bun~ "messy" because I made my bun without looking in a mirror using the only bobby pins and hair clips I had at the time. I was in my office at the time~

    Do you use anything other than the visible hair clips Andrea? Thank you so much for posting! My hair is 35 inches and about 5 inches circumference so I don't know if the clips would hold the weight on their own. Melissa

      Hi Melissa! Thanks for commenting, and thank you for following my blog! On this hairstyle, I used 3 or 4 bobby pins along with 3 small jaw clips (one is hidden in the middle of my bun). Usually I only use bobby pins or hair pins along with my hairclips, when I make a braided updo or high bun. Most of the time I just use jaw clips like you see in my pictures. I also find that putting my hair in a ponytail before making a bun really helps~ my clips have something to anchor to, and my hair stays up all day. I hope this helps!
