Thank you so much for all the views here on my blog and on my Youtube videos! Yesterday I made a simple English braid in place of a mohawk braid, and added a French braid on either side. When I put my hair in a low ponytail so I could make my bun, I tugged on the sides of the English braid just like I did when I made my butterfly braid w/ dragon-fly French braids. The result in this 3-strand braid reminded me of a row of hearts, so...an easy heart braid! I like the way the center English braid hides the part between my two French braids~ an interesting change.

5-strand Dutch braid
Hi friends,
Today I tried making a 5-strand Dutch braid for the first time, and was very excited with the results. I've done a French braid version before, but today instead of starting out by crossing the strands "over-under-over" like a French version, I used the Dutch version of "under-over-under." I think if I do a video of this look, it will have to be in front of my mirror so I can keep everything straight while I'm braiding!
One thing I noticed about this braid was that it disguised several inches of my hair length. When my hair is down it reaches my ankles, but you can tell from the pictures that in this braid it looks shorter, if I can say that :-)
Thank you so much for following my hairstyle posts, I hope you have a beautiful day!

When you don't feel like braiding...my look for today
Hi everybody,
I washed my hair this morning, so it was still a little wet when I fixed it. Since I didn't really feel like braiding it, I made little twists and bobby pinned them at the back of my head. Then I put my hair in a ponytail and made a big bun with my hairclip holding my hair in the middle. Unlike what usually happens, the bobby pins were hurting by tonight so I went ahead and took my hair down! But beauty is pain, haha :-)

Lace Halo & Braided Bun
Hi everybody,
I hope you had a lovely day today. I am so excited to see how quickly my newest hairstyle video is gaining views~ thank you, my friends! Today I started off by combing my hair to one side, then making a four-strand lace braid (I seem to be using four-strand braids a lot lately!) I put the rest of my hair into a high ponytail, but instead of using a ponytail holder or elastic I made an English braid. Then I clipped a hair clip to the base of my English braid, folded the braid over and around the clip, and wrapped my halo-lace braid around my bun. I held my hair in place with random hair clips and a few bobby pins. Thank you for coming by to see my new pictures!
