Black and white style on a summer afternoon

     Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I am enjoying the summer weather in America, it reminds me of my island home where the weather is always warm no matter what time of year.  And isn't the front porch a lovely place to watch the world go by...

     My updo is made of several lace braids, one on top of the other, ending in two low braided buns.  A fun hairstyle for any day of the week :-)

Double Messy Buns

     I hope you are having a lovely day!  Today I fixed my hair in double messy buns, and since it was rainy I wore my new rain cloud earrings.  I love them, they are so fun.

Double Dutch Braids

Hi everyone,

     Yesterday I braided my hair in double Dutch lace braids, but I made each braid very close to the center zig-zag part so they would appear to be a single multi-strand braid.  I put the length of my hair into two low buns, and held everything in place with several clips.  This is a fun style for the middle of the week, or any time.  Thank you for visiting my blog!

Belle Hair-Bows

Hi friends,

     Today I wore my favorite new Disney-theme top with a beautiful picture of Belle.  I wanted to fix my hair in a suitably feminine fashion, and what could be more feminine than hair-bows.  It took a try or two, but I finally got them to look the way I wanted.  I braided the leftover length of my hair into a simple 3-strand braid and wrapped this braid around my lower bow, to make a beautifully decorated bow-bun.  I truly love this hairstyle, it's a shame I have to take it down!

 

Cinnamon buns that are just as good the second day

Hi everyone,

     Today I did something I rarely do~ I kept my hairstyle from yesterday and let it last another day.  Usually I never do this, because I don't like braids or updos that look fuzzy or unkempt.  Not so with this double bun updo, in fact I almost like it better today than yesterday because it has a more wispy, care-free feeling.  It's not always that cinnamon buns are just as good the second day, but certainly that is the case here :-)
