Modern version of Sissi Braids

Hi everyone,

A friend who follows my blog asked me many weeks ago to do some of Empress Sissi's hairstyles, so I looked up pictures online and was amazed at her lovely hair and updo's.  After so much time has passed, I finally attempted a Sissi hairstyle today.  I would have liked to change a few things about it, and will definitely do this hairstyle again because I love it.  My modern version of Empress Sissi's braided updo is a poof in the front, then three French braids.  I brought the ends of my French braids up and clipped them together with my favorite little hair clips.  Looking back, I should have made the outer French braids equal sizes, but the outer right braid was smaller than the other two.  To hide the slightly off-centered effect, I added a few flowers that matched my shirt.

I love this hairstyle because it looks so fancy but it simple to make.  It lasted all day long without looking fuzzy, which is always nice in a hairstyle.  Thank you so much for following my blog, and I hope you have a wonderful New Year's celebration with family and friends.  Thank you for being my friend!

Princess Hairstyle

Hi friends,

This is a version of a princess-type hairstyle using mostly hairclips on the top and a braid for the length of my hair.  I folded my braid up to make my hair appear to be waist-length, although at a closer look people can tell my hair is actually much longer.  Thank you so much for following my posts, I wish you a lovely October day <3

Turn long hair into short hair (but just for one day!)

Hi friends,

You don't have to be Wonder Woman to turn long hair into short hair, then back into long hair~ I did it today with the help of a few hair clips.  I went to the beach this morning and washed my hair when I came back home this afternoon.  I put my hair up into a faux-short hairstyle, using my favorite hair clips.  I like the alternative to a bun or braid, and it requires absolutely no cutting!

Riding in the boat to a picnic island~ the island I'm looking at in this photo is the island I live on!

Arriving at the picnic island (a picnic island is a small island that no one lives on, you go there to have a picnic :-)

The water is perfect for swimming <3

Field of Flowers Updo

Hi friends,

This hairstyle seems to go perfectly with a field of ginger and other flowers in the background, plus the flowers on my dress.  My updo is basically a series of twisted sections of hair with a big bun, all clipped in place with my favorite small hair clips.  No braiding needed to create this style :-)

Tropical Island French Braid

Hello friends,

Today I used my beautiful new seashell hair accessory that I got in Japan.  I love it, it is so unusual and lovely.  The picture on the display counter showed the model wearing this seashell to decorate a French braid updo.  I was excited to see how to use this clip, and knew I had to get one for myself.

Between the seashell and the pink ginger, this is a perfect hairstyle for a day on a tropical island 🌴🌺🌞
