Spiraling Braid and Bun

Hi friends,

I saw a hairstyle on Instagram and today I tried to recreate it.  This is a Dutch braid that starts at the bottom, spirals up and around a bun.  I love how this hairstyle turned out!  Thank you so much for coming by to see my blog, I hope you have a lovely day.

Luau Braided Style

Aloha!

How fun to celebrate my birthday a few days early, by attending a Hawaiian luau!  I got to wear my new outfit which I absolutely love, and fixed my hair in a braided style that I also love.  This carousel braid is perfect for long hair, especially when you want to show some length but have your hair securely braided at the same time.  I had such a wonderful time!  After we left the luau, we stopped by Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom.  I passed a girl who was doing something very familiar~ turning away from the camera so her sister could take hair pictures for her!  Our sisters took our pictures together, and we had fun visiting and chatting about hair for a few minutes, there in the middle of the magical rush around us.  A lovely way to end a lovely day <3

A pre-luau snack~ pineapple soft-serve ice cream!

What a beautiful evening sky, perfect for Disney World...

I laughed when I was looking through my pictures and saw the guy in the background...

Christmas Eve Updo~ Midnight blue lace and pearls

Hello dear friends,

A very Merry Christmas Eve to you all!  Today I wore a favorite lace dress in midnight blue, and fixed my hair in a spiral rope braid bun.  I have difficulty doing a spiral braid on myself, but I keep pinning and tucking until the effect looks good enough to leave alone.  I love my new pearl pins, they were the perfect finishing touch after adding navy blue flowers and a bow.

Rope coil braid

Hi everybody,

Last night I remembered I haven't fixed my hair in this style for a while, so this morning I made a rope lace braid and tried my best to keep it wrapping around my head in a coil.  Of course my favorite small hairclips were a huge help creating this look.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope that you have a lovely and beautiful day just like we had today here in the islands.  This afternoon I walked around my yard taking random flower pictures, I'll share a few at the end of this post.  So fun to share hair (and flower) pictures with all my friends around the world.
