Fancy Lace Braid, Braided Bun Updo

Hello friends,

Thank you for all the views and comments~ I think we will soon reach 100,000 pageviews!  I so enjoy posting pictures and sharing hairstyles and braids with you all.  Today I tried a four-strand lace braid where one section was actually a small English accent braid.  I ended up doing the same accent braid idea on each side, but the left lace braid is a 3-strand and the right lace braid is 4-strand.  I'm probably the only one who notices~ no reason for doing it this way, except that my hands were tired of keeping the different strands separate from each other ;-)

Banana-clip style braids - for long hair

Hi everybody,

Another week has begun!  My accent braids looked just as good the second day, so today I wore my hair in a cinnamon bun highlighted with accent braids.  I wonder how much of a hurry I'll be in tomorrow...they might be made to last three days!

About this hairstyle~ I gave up trying to use banana clips a long time ago - my hair was just too long for them.  But this hairstyle from a few days ago reminded me of the 90's banana-clip fashion.  Maybe they will come back in style one day...??  To create this look, first I made three English braids, one above the other.  Then I bundled them all together and held them in place with a big jaw clip.  The clip is anchored to the middle braid which kept my hair from tumbling down.  An easy yet slightly sophisticated hairstyle :-)

Thanks for looking at my pictures!

"I Dream of Jeannie" Braided Ponytail

Hi everybody,

I hope you had a beautiful Sunday!  Today I fixed my hair in a style that reminds me of Barbara Eden's hair on "I Dream of Jeannie."  It must be the combination of a folded-under ponytail with a braided bun that brings her cute hairstyle to mind :-)

First I made five small accent braids.  Then I put my hair into a smooth high ponytail and braided the rest of my hair into two larger braids.  I folded all the braids up and under into a short ponytail, and wrapped the remaining length of my hair around the base of my ponytail to make the braided bun.

My look for today~ Double French Braids

This has to be one of my favorite go-to hairstyles~ double French braids with a side bun.  Whenever I feel uninspired or can't think of something new and different, I can fall back on this timeless hair-do.  The slanted part gives this look an added flair~

My look for today~ Braided Bun

Hello everybody,

Another green, rainy day in the islands~ the flowers I planted a few days ago are alive and growing, thanks to this weather :-)  Today I made a simple braided bun with my favorite Grah-Toe hair fork.  The braids on the sides are Dutch braids~ (Last night I washed my hair and used an extra-large amount of Johnson & Johnson's No More Tears detangling spray, and this morning my hair seemed to be super-soft and tangle-free.)
