3D Pull-through braid, with a 5-strand accent

Hi friends,

I washed my hair last night and wanted to make an extra special braid today, since I was going with friends this evening to see the Great Britian Ukulele Orchestra.  What an exciting evening it was!

I braided my hair in the 3D pull-through braid that I learned from Sweetheart's Hair Design.  When my braid reached about waist length, I braided the rest of my hair in a 5-strand braid and then used this smaller braid to accent my pull-through braid.  I love how this hairstyle turned out, and my favorite part was that it lasted all day long until I took my hair down tonight.  It didn't even tangle!

Thank you so much visiting my blog, I hope you have a lovely day.

New YouTube video: 3D Braid for Super Long Hair

Hi friends,

Last night I watched a tutorial video on YouTube and learned how to make a 3D braid.  I absolutely love this braid, it looks so interesting.  This morning I made my own video showing how I braid my own super long hair in a 3D braid.  Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy my video.  Tonight I tried to French braid this, and it worked!  I will make a French braid version another day and post pictures then.  How exciting to share with you here on my blog.

3-D French-Box Braid

Hello friends,

Thank you for following my posts!  Today I braided my hair in a French braid, using the 3-D box braid braiding pattern.  Basically you take four strands of hair:

1-2-3-4

Outermost 4 goes underneath 3, underneath 2, then flips up and over 2 to be placed in the middle of 2 and 3.  So now your strands look like this:

1-2-4-3

You repeat the same pattern starting on the opposite side.  So take strand 1, move it underneath 2, underneath 4, flip it up and over 4 so that it is now between 4 and 2.

2-1-4-3

Now to start French braiding, just add a little bit of hair to the outermost section before repeating the pattern.  I keep it straight by thinking, "Under, under, over...under, under, over..."

I hope this explanation is helpful, now for pictures of my braid :-)

Micronesian Girl~ 3D Pull-Through Braid

Hello everybody,

Thank you so much for all the views and comments on my recent posts!  I'm so excited to learn these new styles of braids and share my versions of them here on my blog.  I think my next hair video will definitely be the pull-through braid :-)
Yesterday afternoon I showed my Micronesian Girl friends how to do the pull-through and the 3D pull-through braids.  It was fun braiding someone else's hair for a change!  When we were done, the three of us had our picture taken together.  Then I took extra pictures of my little friend's 3D braid, so beautiful on her!  She looks like a princess <3
