60's inspired hair'do

Hi everyone,

Today to match my retro-style dress, I fixed my hair in a 60's inspired hairstyle.  I used a smooth section of hair as a headband, then added a low bun with a Nancy Drew hair-flip.

Thank you for all the views, comments, likes and shares here and on Facebook.  The blossom pull-through braid has certainly become my first choice when it comes to long braids.  Visit my Facebook page to see pictures and the link to an Instagram video featuring this braid~ I think I set a record at wearing my hair in this style three different times in one week :-)

January 1, 2014 ~ Happy New Year Hairstyle

Happy New Year, everybody!

I hope your 2014 is off to a great start!  Today was a beautiful sunny, windy day.  I washed my hair last night~ starting the new year off clean and shining :-)  My hairstyle was a simple low bun with a Nancy Drew flip, and a couple of small side braids as accents.

My look for today~ Hair flip + French braids

Hey everybody,

My look for today was four fast French braids and a low bun.  I kept the ends of my hair showing like a Nancy Drew hair flip, a favorite addiction of mine.  It's a quick and easy way to fancy up a braided bun :-)

Nancy Drew Flip (for long hair)

I love Nancy Drew!  Her adventures, her ability to solve such difficult mysteries, her bravery...and her strawberry-blonde flip hairstyle!

Here are some pictures showing how you can have that signature Nancy flip even if you have super long hair~

And so you can see how it looks from the front:

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Sleuthing!
