Pink for Spring

Hi friends,

     Today I matched the springtime look of my dress with a springtime hairstyle.  My hairstyle is basically two lace braids with a poofy center section, and a loose bun made of a 4-strand braid.  I love the new pink flower and butterfly clip that I got at Claire's.  It was the perfect finishing touch :-)

 

 

Half Lace, Half French

Hi friends,

     A few days ago I decided to try a new variation, and made a lace braid on one side with a French braid on the other.  I love how this updo turned out!  Several people throughout the day complimented me on my hair, and were shocked when I told them that I fixed it myself :-)

     Thank you so much for visiting my blog!  I'm sorry I don't post quite as often when I am traveling like I am now, but check back again soon to see if I've shared something new.  I love sharing hair pictures with my friends around the world!  Today I got to meet a very special friend in person, who started out following my hair posts but then we quickly became friends.  It's wonderful how friendships can begin in unique ways~ even through a hair blog!

 

 

A Russian YouTube video inspired my look today

     Last night I spent time watching Russian YouTube hairstyle videos, and saw many new ideas and looks I want to try.  My hairstyle today was inspired by one of the videos I watched.  This is a center mohawk French braid with loops pinned in place on either side.  I added flower accent to match my dress, and put the length of my hair in a low bun.

     How lovely to see snow actually falling in the early morning!  The light was awkward for hair pictures, but the snow outside was beautiful to see (from the warm indoors!)

Almost Spring

Hi friends,

     How fun to wear pastels in springtime.  I especially love my hairclips, they are perfect for holding braids in place like I did in this hairstyle.  My hair was still wet when I braided it after washing it earlier that morning.  This hairstyle is perfect for wet hair, or dry hair~ whatever state you find yourself in :-)

Bright Blue Arizona 'Do

Hi everyone,

     What a change, to go from snowy Colorado to desert Arizona!  I love the blue sky, without a cloud to be seen for miles.  Yesterday I wore my favorite color, royal blue, and fixed my hair in a combination of small rope braids and a big bun.  How fun to share pictures with you here!

 

Short ponytail updo

Hi friends,

     Last night I got on Pinterest for the first time in a long time and saw a picture I had pinned a while ago of Audrey Hepburn's short ponytail.  I liked it so much that I decided to fix my own hair in a similar style today.

     First I clipped the sections near the front of my face, then I put my hair into a low ponytail.  I folde my hair up once to create the short ponytail, and braided the rest of my length in a rope braid.  I wrapped this braid around the base of my ponytail and clipped it in place.  Ta-da!

I love how this hairstyle seems to match the look of the stone fountain
