Classic Grecian Updo

Hi friends,

I spent last evening watching hairstyle videos, and was reminded of a hairstyle I tried a couple of years ago after watching a tutorial by Lilith Moon.  I like to call this my classic Grecian updo, it is a Dutch lace braid wrapped around a big curly bun.  Check out my video on YouTube to see how I make this type of curly bun with bobby pins.

Thanks so much for following my hair posts, I am so excited to be getting close to 1 million views here on my blog.  My Facebook page is getting closer to 5,000 followers, another great milestone.  Thank you to all my friends around the world <3

Pineapple Slices

Hi everyone,

I got this lovely pineapple clip in Japan a few weeks ago, and this week I used it in my hairstyle.  I clipped a small section of hair at the top of my head with my pineapple clip, then I made three rope-waterfall braids one falling into the other one.  The end result reminded me of a pineapple when it's been cut in sections, perfectly matching the theme.  Thank you so much for vising my blog!  I hope you have a fun weekend.

French braids and bumblebees

Hi friends,

Today I wore my fun bumblebee top, which seemed to call for a fancy hairstyle.  I made a French braid headband with a small 3-strand braid alongside as an accent.  Then I made another sideways French braid with the rest of my hair, and put the length in a side braided bun.  I love the ruffly look this hairstyle has, frilly and fun.

Decorative Braided Braids

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I fixed my hair in a simple style that still looks very elegant, a low bun accented with a 4-strand braid.  My 4-strand braid is made of 4 small braids, and was the perfect match for my lace top.

On another subject, before I washed my hair last night, I tried out the hair mask that I recently pinned on Pinterest.  I mixed together 1 tablespoon coconut oil, 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, and one egg and applied the mixture to my hair.  I put my hair in a bun and covered it with a plastic bag, then after about an hour I washed my hair as normal.  This morning when I woke up, my hair was perfectly dry, and oh-so-soft, strong, and smooth.  I definitely recommend this hair mask, and will be using it again and again on my own hair.

Blue side bun and braids~ my Monday style

Hello everyone,

I hope your week is off to a great start!  It's been a rainy day here in the islands, but I still managed to take some hair pictures in between rain showers.  My style today is made of a small French braid that turns into a lace braid, that ends in a braided side bun.  A sleek look for Monday, or any day :-)
