Heart Accent Braided Style

Hi friends,

I love how accent braids dress up any style, like this simple French braid.  All throughout the day, people stopped to ask me about my hair and how I fixed it.  How very kind of them.

Thank you for visiting my blog!  I wish you a lovely new week.

French braids and bumblebees

Hi friends,

Today I wore my fun bumblebee top, which seemed to call for a fancy hairstyle.  I made a French braid headband with a small 3-strand braid alongside as an accent.  Then I made another sideways French braid with the rest of my hair, and put the length in a side braided bun.  I love the ruffly look this hairstyle has, frilly and fun.

Faux 7-Strand French Braid

Hello friends,

Yesterday it poured rain, but thankfully that didn't keep me from taking hair pictures.  I set my camera in front of the window, sat in my colorful hammock-chair and twirled around to show each angle of my braid.  To make this braid, I first made a 3-strand accent braid, then I braided the rest of my hair in a 4-strand French braid.  I pinned the 3-strand braid along one side of my French braid, to make my braid look thicker and more complicated.  I draped the length of my braid over one shoulder, folded it up, and clipped it in place with hair clips.  Thank you for coming by my blog to see!

Palm Sunday Updo

Hello friends,

What a beautiful Palm Sunday at the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C.  I loved seeing the beautiful building and flowers, but especially loved the holy service on this special day <3

A friend on Facebook tagged me in a hairstyle photo that was the inspiration behind my look today~ two Dutch braids with double braided buns.  The only addition I made was an accent braid that hid my center part.  I love the extra touch, and will definitely do this again when I have a hairstyle with a center part.
