Bridal Hairstyle

Hello friends,

So much has been happening lately, I can't believe I have not been posting at all on my blog.  Please forgive me!  But I have a good excuse, I'm getting married!  My love Justin and I are getting married at my home in Micronesia on New Year's Eve, next month.  I've been trying out bridal hairstyles, and have decided on something rather like this.

Last week I went to get my bridal portrait done!  What a wonderful, amazing experience.  I've dreamed for so long about being a bride, and now it is actually happening.  I love my dress and veil and can't wait to walk down the aisle and be married.

To make this hairstyle, I first created a poofy section at the top of my head with bobby pins.  Then I took a small section of hair and braided a 3-strand braid, gently pulling on one edge as I braided to give the braid a lacey look.  I wrapped this braid around like a headband and pinned it in place.  In this version, the bun is a smooth low bun wrapped around with another three strand braid.  In my bridal portrait, the bun is a flower bun made with two 3-strand braids that have had one edge gently pulled like my headband braid.  The pulled-out sections look like petals in the flower bun.  This flower bun is the bun-style I think I will do on my wedding day.  What do you vote?

I can't promise to post pictures as often as I have in the past, but I will do my best to have something new to share several times a month.  Please feel free to browse through past months and years and see all the hairstyles and braids I have shared along the way.  Your love and friendship is greatly appreciated, thank you to all my dear friends around the world.

Love, Andrea

Dutch and Fishtail go so well together

Hi friends,

Thank you for visiting my blog!  Today I wore what has become my favorite summer dress.  It's helpful that I am visiting new places, so I'm seeing new people who have not yet seen me in sunflowers :-)  I braided my hair in a combination that I like, a Dutch side braid ending in a fishtail braid.  I looped my fishtail braid up once to make it not quite as long.  This style lasted all day long, thanks to the little clips I used to keep my hair in place.

Triple fishtail flower buns

Hi friends,

Yesterday I braided my hair in two French braided fishtails, then wrapped the ends of my braids up into not two but three fishtail buns.  I added a pearl pin in the center of each bun to create a flower look.  I am usually not very good at French braided fishtails, but these stayed excellently all day long until I took down my hair.

My hair needed to be clarified from all the oils I've been using on the ends lately, so instead of using a mask or even coconut oil, I went straight to C-W-C then did an apple cider vinegar rinse.  I washed my hair earlier in the evening than usual, so it could have more time to air-dry before I went to bed.  I'm very happy with the results, my main hair goal is always to have ends that are healthy and look thick <3

At the end of the day, a 4-strand braid

Hello friends,

How exciting to share pictures with you of my trip to Tokyo to see the Tangled lanterns display!  While I was there, I got to visit Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea, dressed as my favorite Disney princess.  What a truly amazing experience that I will treasure forever.

Yesterday evening I took hair pictures of my braid for the day, a 4-strand French braid.  Even though I had worn my hair in this style all day long, it still looked rather neat even though the length of the braid was a bit fuzzy.  This evening I walked around my yard taking pictures of the flowers, such a relaxing and calming activity.  Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful evening <3

Pink pleats and flowers

Hello dear friends,

Words fail me when I try to describe how much I love this outfit.  I wore my hair in a simple updo made of one braided flower, a low looped-braid bun, and flower clips to match.  My sister and I are traveling to Japan soon, I am definitely taking this skirt and top with me!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, I wish you a lovely start to the brand-new week.
