Simple Braided Hairstyle~ plus UK's Daily Mail features a new article on my hair

Hi friends,

I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's week!  A few days ago I braided my hair in this simple braided hairstyle.  It's a hybrid braid, which is practically the same as a chunky fishtail braid.  It's a fishtail braid made with four interchanging sections of hair.  I pinned the end of my braid around my head like a halo.  I love this simple boho look.  Thank you for coming to see!  Check out this article that the Daily Mail is featuring about my hair, especially my favorite hair secret of eating a spoonful of peanut butter every day :-)

  1. Hello Andrea,

First and foremost, I would like to compliment you on your ability to make such beautiful hairstyles with such long hair.

I read the Daily Mail article and it talked about a hair mask you put on daily for 15 minute. Would be as kind to share this mask?

Also, do you have any tips for split end striken hair?

I am in high school with 43 inches of hair and because of an ED that I was suffering from, it weakened my hair substantially. I do search and destroy sometimes and trim every 3 months but my hair is not recovering. Am I excepting results too soon?

    Thank you.

    1. Hi friend, thank you for your message! The mask I've been using lately is a scoop of mayonnaise, with about a tablespoon of honey and another tablespoon of milk or yogurt mixed in. Mix this up, put it all over your hair and let it stay for 30 minutes or so. Then wash your hair as normal, just start by rinsing the mask out in cool water. At the end of condition-wash-condition I sometimes do an apple cider vinegar rinse, which is just a spoonful of acv to a large glass of water. It sounds like your ends might be dry, maybe you should try rubbing in a bit of coconut oil during the week? Like at night when you are getting ready for bed. I always find that putting coconut oil on my ends helps so much, it keeps them from getting dry and breaking easily.
I hope this helps! Collagen supplements work wonders for hair and skin, btw. You might try that as well, give your hair some extra tlc from the inside out :)
