I hope you had a wonderful Easter Sunday with family and friends. Our island Easter was full of love and beautiful flowers :-) I fixed my hair in two French braids, one slightly smaller than the other, and an accent chain braid, then a braided side bun held in place with tiny colorful clips to match my dress. Chic French Braid Updo
Hi everyone,
Today I braided my hair in two French braids and dressed them up with a small chain braid accent. For the length of my two French braids, I tied them off with an elastic about half-way down then made chain braids with the bottom half of the braids. When I wrapped my braids into a bun, the chain braids were able to wrap around the outside edge of my bun and add extra interest. I love my new tiny hairclips from Claire's in Tokyo <3

Chain braids, great accents for a smooth bun
Hi friends,
Thank you for all the views and comments on my new length pictures, I was so excited to get to share them with you here on my blog. Today I fixed my hair in a simple smooth bun with three chain braids as accents. (Chain braids are what I like to call a 3-strand push-up braid.)

Double braids with a push-up accent~ my attempt to rise to the challenge
Hi everybody,
A few days ago a challenge was posted on the Braid Zone's Facebook page, to make a hairstyle using double braids and push-up braid accent. Here are pictures of my own attempt to meet the challenge :-) I made a zig-zag part, then braided my hair in two French braids. I left a small section of hair out of one side to use as my accent braid which was a regular 3-strand English braid. I finished off my look with a loose side bun.
Thank you for coming by to see my pictures! I hope you have a lovely day, whatever season of the year it happens to be where you are. I'm excited to say that although technically it is fall here where I am visiting friends in the US, the weather has been almost as warm as summertime! Beautiful changing leaves with warm tempratures <3

Sunday Best
Hi everyone,
Last night I rinsed my hair in an apple-cider vinegar rinse, which always makes it clean and soft. I don't do this very often, only every few months or so. For lack of a better name, I'll call this hairstyle my Sunday Best :-) First I made a four-strand slide-up (or chain) braid, then I made a waterfall braid where a headband would be. I turned the tail-end of my waterfall braid into another 3-strand chain braid. Then I put my hair into a low ponytail, and braided my ponytail in a rope braid. I wrapped this rope braid into a bun and pinned/clipped it in place. Finally, I wrapped my chain braids around my bun. You can't really see the 4-strand braid, but the 3-strand chain braid stands out nicely, I thought.
Thank you so much for coming to see my new post! I'm sorry if my description of how I did this style is unclear, hopefully the pictures will help :-)
