Lace braids upon lace braids

Hi everyone,

     I love lace braids, so this hairstyle is naturally a personal favorite this week.  I made four lace braids, one on top of the other, then put the unbraided section of my hair left over at the bottom into a ponytail.  I braided my ponytail in a rope braid then wrapped it up into a rose bun.  I took the ends of my lace braids and wrapped them around the bun, then added some bobby pins and a flower clip.  This hairstyle lasted all day long and never stopped looking fresh and new.  Many people who saw it commented on my hairstyle, and wondered how in the world I braided my own hair.  They don't know how very simple this braid actually is ^_^

Afternoon Teatime Braided Hairstyle

     My sister and I were invited to a mother/daughter tea, and I wore my new tea-length dress with a fancy braided hairstyle.  I made about 7 or 8 braids, looped them up, then wrapped the ends of my braids into a high bun on top of my head.  I love this look, and it looked neat and tidy all day long.  Thank you for visiting my blog!  I wish you a lovely new week.

Modern version of Sissi Braids

     A friend who follows my blog asked me many weeks ago to do some of Empress Sissi's hairstyles, so I looked up pictures online and was amazed at her lovely hair and updo's.  After so much time has passed, I finally attempted a Sissi hairstyle today.  I would have liked to change a few things about it, and will definitely do this hairstyle again because I love it.  My modern version of Empress Sissi's braided updo is a poof in the front, then three French braids.  I brought the ends of my French braids up and clipped them together with my favorite little hair clips.  Looking back, I should have made the outer French braids equal sizes, but the outer right braid was smaller than the other two.  To hide the slightly off-centered effect, I added a few flowers that matched my shirt.

     I love this hairstyle because it looks so fancy but it simple to make.  It lasted all day long without looking fuzzy, which is always nice in a hairstyle.  Thank you so much for following my blog, and I hope you have a wonderful New Year's celebration with family and friends.  Thank you for being my friend!

Instead of a bunch of flowers, a bunch of braids

Hi everyone,

     Today I used my new pink hair clip to hold in place four braids that were looped up once, to make a total of eight braids.  I love a bunch of fresh flowers, so this could be my bunch of braids hairstyle.  It is quick and easy to make, plus you get the added benefit of braid waves the next day.  What's not to love?

     I'm so thankful that someone invented the French braid <3  Think how boring hairstyles would be without it!  Today my hairstyle is three French braids with the lengths braided together in one braid.  I know I say this often, but I love this hairstyle :-)
